Bittensor for scientists and mathematicians

You do research in math, physics, cryptography or quantum computing. Quantum Compute gives you real quantum hardware with $50 of free credit every 90 days. Enigma and conjectures pay prizes for solving hard problems.

Start with these 3

SN48Live

Quantum Compute

Runs jobs on IonQ, Rigetti, IQM and AQT quantum computers through one API, with $50 free every 90 days.

First stepRun a small Qiskit circuit with the free credit.

APIFree to start

Access runs through partner Open Quantum; we didn't check its own sign-up page.

SN66Live

conjectures

Prize rewards for checked Lean proofs or counterexamples to famous open conjectures.

First stepBrowse the open conjectures and pick one in your field.

Web appNeeds TAO or crypto

Fees go by hand-confirmed treasury transfer for now; card and USDC payment are planned.

SN63Live

Enigma

Funded prize challenges in cryptography, quantum computing and AI.

First stepRead the current challenges before buying any submission credits.

Web appPay by card

Submission credits are bought by card through Open Quantum or paid in the subnet's token; current prize amounts weren't shown.

Targon

Rent NVIDIA GPUs by the hour to train or run AI models.

  • Rent GPU or CPU virtual machines, up to eight GPUs each
  • Run code and AI agents in isolated sandboxes
  • Use sealed, confidential machines for sensitive workloads
Web app and APIPricing not listed

Prices are hourly and shown live, but the site doesn't say which payment methods it takes.

SN9Live

iota

Train your own AI models across many scattered machines, either yourself with an SDK or managed.

  • Run your own model training jobs through the IOTA SDK
  • Hand a defined training job to the team to run for you
APIPricing not listed

No pricing or sign-up is described; the managed option starts by emailing the team.

SN25Live

UR

A privacy network and VPN app that encrypts your internet traffic on phone and browser.

  • Install the UR VPN app on Android or iPhone
  • Add the Chrome extension to encrypt your browsing
  • Earn by running a privacy server as a network operator
Web appPricing not listed

The site doesn't state prices or payment methods; there's a 'Buy data' page we didn't verify.

SN26Beta

Perturb

Tests your image AI model with tricky inputs and sends a report on where it breaks.

  • Order a $99 robustness scan of an image classification model
  • Try a live demo that makes an image designed to fool AI
  • Contact them for enterprise testing with CI/CD and SLAs
Web appPricing not listed

Only image classification models are supported now, the Pro plan is early access and orders go through a contact form.

SN34Live

BitMind

Spots deepfakes and AI-generated content so you can check it before you trust or share it.

  • Check content in the web detector to see if it's AI-made
  • Use the Chrome extension or mobile app while browsing social media
  • Add detection to your product with the API, 100 free scans a month
Web app and APIFree to start

There's no public pricing page; paid API and enterprise pricing go through sales.

SN51Live

lium.io

Rent cloud GPUs by the hour, from RTX workstation cards to H100s and B200s.

  • Rent an H100 GPU from about $1.30 an hour
  • Launch GPU machines from a web dashboard, command line or Python
  • Save money with cheaper spot GPUs that can be reclaimed

Questions

Do I need TAO to use these?

No for Quantum Compute and Enigma, which are free to start or take normal payment. conjectures needs TAO or another crypto token.

What is a Bittensor subnet?

Bittensor is a network of 128 subnets. Each one is a competition where miners do a job, like serving AI models or renting out GPUs, and validators score the work. Some subnets also sell what they produce as a normal product. This guide only recommends those.
