Private AI on Bittensor

Your data is sensitive and can't leave your control. Actual lets you run open models on your own computers through one private API, free up to a large daily limit. KubeTEE and engy are options when you want someone else's hardware but don't want them to see your data.

Start with these 3

SN95Live

Actual

Links your own Macs and PCs into one private AI service, so company data stays on your machines.

First stepConnect two office machines on the free tier and try it with a real document.

APIFree to start

Free up to 100 million tokens a day; paid usage beyond that and team pricing aren't spelled out.

SN90Live

KubeTEE

Runs models inside sealed hardware so the host can't see your prompts, with proof of what code ran.

First stepAccess it through the sayGM gateway and read the attestation it returns.

APIPricing not listed

You buy it through sayGM today; KubeTEE's own USDC and TAO billing is listed as coming.

SN53Live

engy

Open models through an API or chat app that says it doesn't store your data.

First stepTry chat.engy.ai with a non-sensitive test first.

Web app and APIPricing not listed

No free tier or payment methods are listed.

Targon

Rent NVIDIA GPUs by the hour to train or run AI models.

  • Rent GPU or CPU virtual machines, up to eight GPUs each
  • Run code and AI agents in isolated sandboxes
  • Use sealed, confidential machines for sensitive workloads
Web app and APIPricing not listed

Prices are hourly and shown live, but the site doesn't say which payment methods it takes.

SN9Live

iota

Train your own AI models across many scattered machines, either yourself with an SDK or managed.

  • Run your own model training jobs through the IOTA SDK
  • Hand a defined training job to the team to run for you
APIPricing not listed

No pricing or sign-up is described; the managed option starts by emailing the team.

SN25Live

UR

A privacy network and VPN app that encrypts your internet traffic on phone and browser.

  • Install the UR VPN app on Android or iPhone
  • Add the Chrome extension to encrypt your browsing
  • Earn by running a privacy server as a network operator
Web appPricing not listed

The site doesn't state prices or payment methods; there's a 'Buy data' page we didn't verify.

SN26Beta

Perturb

Tests your image AI model with tricky inputs and sends a report on where it breaks.

  • Order a $99 robustness scan of an image classification model
  • Try a live demo that makes an image designed to fool AI
  • Contact them for enterprise testing with CI/CD and SLAs
Web appPricing not listed

Only image classification models are supported now, the Pro plan is early access and orders go through a contact form.

SN28Live

SayGM

One API key for Claude, GPT and Gemini, often cheaper than list price, with private routing.

  • Call Claude, GPT, Gemini and open models through one API
  • Plug it into Cursor, Cline or Claude Code as your model provider
  • Use the SayGM Desktop agent to work on your local files
Web app and APIPricing not listed

The headline says up to 70% cheaper, but its own table shows about 25% average savings, and the payment method isn't stated.

SN34Live

BitMind

Spots deepfakes and AI-generated content so you can check it before you trust or share it.

  • Check content in the web detector to see if it's AI-made
  • Use the Chrome extension or mobile app while browsing social media
  • Add detection to your product with the API, 100 free scans a month
Web app and APIFree to start

There's no public pricing page; paid API and enterprise pricing go through sales.

Questions

Do I need TAO to use these?

No for Actual, which is free to start or take normal payment. KubeTEE and engy don't say on their site how you pay, so check before you sign up.

What doesn't Bittensor cover yet?

We couldn't verify any compliance certifications like HIPAA or SOC 2, so ask before you send regulated data.

What is a Bittensor subnet?

Bittensor is a network of 128 subnets. Each one is a competition where miners do a job, like serving AI models or renting out GPUs, and validators score the work. Some subnets also sell what they produce as a normal product. This guide only recommends those.
